Now it its sixth year, the UCLA Blum Center Summer Scholars Program supports training and field experience for graduate student research in Latin America on issues related to poverty and improved health outcomes. 

Through this program, graduate students live and work in a region of Latin American and work with universities, international instituions and/or community organizations involved in activites focused on improving health and social conditions of local populations. 

UC Merced is relaunching its branch of the Blum Center for Developing Economies with a focus on food security for the first two years of the faculty-led effort.
