A UC Cooperative Extension Specialist with the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Diaz-Rios' research focuses on the development, adaptation, and evaluation of theory-based, culturally sensitive approaches to nutrition education and interventions to prevent diet-related diseases in underserved Latino populations. With the 2017 Blum Center seed grants to support faculty projects, "we’re hoping to help translate research into projects that are relevant to the community.”
